Bday plans

Bday plans are well underway!
I feel like the most important thing is the location, and I haven't figured that out yet. I'm thinking last resort we will just have the party at my dads house.. but I'm considering asking my Aunt & Uncle if we can just have the party at their house... their house is the best option for entertaining guests... they live on a beautiful little farm and there is plenty of room in the house for people to get out of the heat. But they're really busy lately and I don't want to impose.

I've decided that the theme will be pink, red and orange elmo. I found some really cute ideas on pinterest.

The party is going to be on August 5th, which is a Sunday.. the day before her actual birthday.

I have a LOT of work to do! I plan to buy plain pink table cloths.. I heard there were red and orange polka dot plates at target, and I plan to make any other decorations such as a center piece, happy birthday banner and a collage of pictures. I also plan to get pink orange and red balloons from the party store.. I'm still not sure about the cake. I figured I would just make cupcakes.. and then buy a bigger cake, but I'd want it to match the theme so I'm considering just making one myself.

Now as for her gift.. I either want to get her a scooter or a trike.. Haven't decided which one to get yet. Ricky has been working two jobs so I haven't had much time to talk to him about what we should get her exactly. I mentioned the scooter today to him because I Juliette saw a girl about her age riding this same scooter around at the park... She REALLY wanted to play on the scooter, and I think she would love to have one for her birthday. I think she'd like the trike too though, she's always saying "bikes, mom.. bikes!" whenever she sees someone riding bikes... she loves them.

I'm kind of leaning more towards the scooter.. Juliette was sooo jealous of the girl at the park riding the scooter... plus theres a cute little bell on the scooter lol.
But I know Ricky would love for her to be into bikes like he always has been...
I'll talk to him and see what he thinks would be best... since he is going to be the one paying for it and all.

On one hand, I like the extra cash we've had since Ricky's been working two jobs.. but on the other hand I feel like I'm a single parent now days with how much Ricky's gone. I go to my dad's a lot and he helps me with the kids.. but he shouldn't have to do that.. the babes are both very close with him because he is always around and helping me with them. I feel like my dad has the relationship with them that Ricky should have... but its no ones fault... Ricky is working his ass off to support us and I am very thankful for that, but my babies really do need a daddy.. and grandpa can't be the substitute.

Supposedly the job that he's doing right now won't last too much longer... IDK for sure but I think he should be done with it toward the end of this month/beginning of next month. 

Anyways.. its late... and I have lots to do tomorrow... what with all the birthday planning going on.
