Time flies so quickly sometimes and you never really notice it until its already passed you by.
We spent the summer visiting local parks on a daily basis. Juliette has mastered all the climbing walls in our area, they are her favorite. She also loves the slides, even the really big slides. :)
My little girl is growing up so quickly now. it seems like yesterday I was nursing her and kissing her little baby fingers like I do to Quentin now.
Now days we mostly call our little girl Jule or Jules. She is so fearless and always loves to be the center of attention. She can be shy at first, but when she warms up she is running around bright eyed and bushy tailed. lol
We're still a ways from being potty trained... a few months ago I put her on the potty all the time, even when she told me "No."
so now she doesn't like going potty at all. She says no to everything now days so it's hard to know what she actually means. most of the time she will start to say no and then say "mmhm" instead. lol
I can't say I will be sad to see her grow out of the "no" faze.
Quentin is cute as ever.... and he's still xxchunky. He's about 4.5 months now and he wears either 9 month clothes or 12 month clothes depending on the brand. He is the happiest little baby, always has a smile for whoever looks at him. Recently we took the kids to an employee BBQ for the landscaping job Ricky had... everyone there commented on how well behaved Quentin was. I chalked it up to how much he loves being outdoors, but the truth is I am incredibly lucky to have such a well behaved baby. He loves sitting in the stroller looking at the world... lucky for him because he gets to do it a lot. :)
Recently I started giving Quen some solid foods. He's tried peas, bananas, chicken, butternut squash and avocados. All were homemade organic purees. I love making my own baby food. its so much fun to be able to whip up something out one of the foods that the entire family is eating for dinner. For example, the other night we had Turkey BLTs with avocado spread. (soo yummy.. its one of our favorites)
When I was slicing the avocados up I set a couple aside and mashed them with a fork and added some breastmilk to it and continued to mash until it was a thin enough consistency for baby.
Both of my babies are doing wonderfully. And I am very excited for it to be fall again. I plan to get Juliette into a Kindergym next month, which is very exciting, she really needs some consistent friends. we've been going to the toddler story time sessions at the library, so those are really fun for her. Aside from the babies, not too much else going on with us. Rickys been working at Safeway about a year now, and I've been a stay at home mommy since Quentin was born. I recently felt the motivation to do some change in my life.. which is pretty exciting. it all started with my hair.. it started to dread up.. so I decided to just leave it be. its starting to dread up nicely. I can't wait to see how my hair looks as my dreads mature and lock up. Something I've always struggled with is acne.. as soon as I hit puberty it got bad and I started using makeup to cover my acne immediately. it gets better sometimes.. only to flare up again later. But last week I went to the doctor and talked to her about my skin and she prescribed me a lotion.. I've been using it twice a day and its really working!! Plus, the last two days I have gone without any makeup covering my acne at all!! It may sound silly buy the dreads make me feel more confident about who I am. I feel like I don't need to cover my acne anymore, its a part of me and I will accept it as it comes. Today I wore my hair down in public for the first time since my hair has been steady. it was a great experience. I dont mean to sound cheesy... but now that i have dreads, i feel more natural and beautiful then I have in a long time. :)t
