Wow, I can't believe how fast time flies by. One day my baby is 6 months old, and the next she's turning a year old!
I'm throwing a big first birthday party for her, it will be watermelon themed.
I've already bought a lot of stuff for the party online in hopes that it will be here in time..
I bought watermelon flavoring oil, pink sanding sugar, and black sugar pearls so that i can make a watermelon cake.
Its going to look like this one:
Except mine will be more pink, and be the same color pink inside the cake, with black speckles throughout to look like watermelon seeds. And of course it will be watermelon flavored. I am combining two different recipes that i've found online to make the perfect first birthday cake. :)
I'm also debating on whether or not to write "Happy Birthday" or something of the sort on the cake... I feel like it will take away from the look of the cake, but at the same time it may add to the fact that its Juliette's birthday cake... Maybe I'll just write her name and put a number one candle on it... We'll see..... :)
I've also bought plates, napkins, and cups... We already have a lot of plastic silverware, and two watermelon plates.
I'm making a "happy birthday" banner, as well as a timeline of pictures... One for every month of Juliette's life. Then i'm also planning on setting up hay bales outside and having some watermelon games... I haven't looked into them much but there will be a watermelon eating contest, seed spitting contest, and more. Mostly The games will be for younger kids, but i think adults may have fun playing them too.
My grandma is making Juliette's tutu, it will be watermelon colors. I ordered a shirt with a big number one on it, a picture of a watermelon, and her name embroidered on it. So her outfit should be pretty cute! Also i ordered a watermelon bow center, so i will make a bow to match the outfit.

Well enough about Juliette's party... there's a lot more going on lately then just that.
I've been attempting to get financial aid to go through for me... but i've been having a lot of troubles. I'm transferring to SPSCC so they have to reevaluate my situation and everything before they give me a grant. So until then I'm just watching the days pass at home with my baby daughter. We live in a huge house in Yelm, its 3 stories and appox 6 bedrooms. My dad lives here with Ricky and I, but we can't get along very well so he's moving out by September 1st. I'm not sure yet whether or not we will be able to get a roommate(s) so if we don't we will have to find a new place to live. Ricky's first day at his new job is tomorrow. He is still doing landscaping, but now he works for a company that specializes in rock walls, wells, ponds, fountains, and other stone architecture outdoors. He is starting off at $12 an hour, so thats a raise from his old job, and he is promised a higher salary in the very near future. The company is based out of Tenino, which isn't too far from Yelm... But most of the time Ricky will meet at the job site, which could be anywhere in the Thurston county area. Since I'm soon to go to SPSCC, we would preferable move somewhere convenient to Olympia. I don't really want to move, especially not so soon after we've moved in here.... But things just aren't looking good here... So I'm going to try hard to get some roommates.... and if not then I know i can find us a nice place to call home.

Well all week I've waited for the newest episode of True Blood, and it finally came and past. Very interesting episode, heres a preview:

SPOILERS BELOW!!!
DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS EPISODE!!
I am SOO glad that Jason is finally out of Hotshot, and I hope he never goes back! I'm very curious as to what is about to happen to him... He saw Jessica before he drank her blood, and I'm sure they will have a bond from the blood now... I can see Jason falling in love with Jessica next, maybe they will get together and she will accept him as a creepy were-panther/man thing. LOL
I love the way Sam's character is now... He seems more arrogant now, but also more quick witted and thoughtful. I never saw his character in the show as very sexy or appealing, but suddenly he has some appeal.
Sookie and Alcide obviously have some chemistry there.... But i doubt it will go anywhere, mostly because i have a premonition that Eric and Sookie will finally be getting together this season. Speaking of which, they were very close to kissing this episode. Sookie is obviously seeing Eric's softer side, which definitely makes me happy. IDK what's up with Bill but I think its funny Nan Flannagan said "You don't know any retired Kings, do you?" So i'm assuming that means that typically they are killed while they are King... honestly I wouldn't mind Bill's character being killed off.. He was much better in the book when he went to Peru. haha.
Claudine is really dead?! I hate that she was a "bad guy" in the show... She was a friends to Sookie in the books and actually watched over her... I don't know what that bullshit was about the power from the chain being sent by Claudine... If i remember right, in the books the power was just from Sookie being part fairy. Oh, and I already know Pam isn't dead so your little cliff hanger there at the end isn't going to work on me sorry!!! I'm excited for next weeks episode, but not nearly as excited as I was last week. haha IDK why.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to have to get up and go to SPSCC to go to a new student advising thing... should be pretty lame... but maybe I'll be able to meet my mom at the gym and we can work out.. I need to tone! My mom's always telling me "you're skinny fat" because even though i'm incredibly thin... i have pooch on my tummy and my thighs and butt are a little bigger then I'd like. So I just need to tone that up and get my tan on... then I should be good to go for a Bikini... if Bikini season ever shows up...
Anyways... i guess i'll stop spouting out my random bull shit now. Pretty sure the only person who reads my blog is McKenzie, so a shout out goes to you my friend. :)

The water melon theme sounds so cute! I am definitely looking forward to Juliette's party ☺ I'll probably have all three boys, so warning: they can be a handful!
Sorry things aren't working out with your dad living there.. I'd totally want to move in with you guys if you weren't so dang far away! (We found a super cute place for rent, and I am so excited about it! I'll have to tell you about it one of these days.. or you can just come over when we move in.)
Haha, you and True Blood.
If you get serious about working out, let me know. I need to start working out!
I love you miss Melony!
Thats awesome you found a place for rent! I would love to have you guys live here but yeah, far from everything for you guys.
I'm thinking there will be a lot of people here for Juliette's party, so i am going to have it outdoors mostly. I am going to set up hay bales for seating, and that way kids can run around and be crazy around the property. If its nice I will set up our little pool, so if you want them to be able to get in bring swim suits and towels. :)
Just so you know, you guys are more then welcome to come out here anytime!! All of you! If you want to come out sometime soon I can cook you guys dinner and maybe we can have a bonfire in the back yard.
I love you too Mac, and I miss hanging out with you!
